Greenvolt Next, part of the Greenvolt Group, announces the finalization of five photovoltaic projects for the commercial and industrial sector in the Moldovan region, with a combined installed capacity of 1.32 MW. Four of the projects are already operational, while the fifth is in the final implementation phase.

These projects enable local generation of electricity for self-consumption, reducing the grid companies' dependence and exposure to volatile market prices, while at the same time helping to reduce the carbon footprint. On average, beneficiaries achieve a grid independence rate of up to 40% and savings of almost 40% on their annual electricity bill.

The five photovoltaic systems have been developed for companies operating in sectors relevant to the regional economy, such as construction, hospitality, metal processing and food industry. The installations include both rooftop and carport systems, with specific adaptations to the different technical requirements of each site. Four of these installations are already operational, helping to cover a significant part of the beneficiaries' energy consumption:

    - FIBROBETON, construction company, Neamt county - rooftop system with a capacity of 479 kW, achieving an energy independence rate of 20% and annual savings of 10%

    - TRANSMIR, also active in the construction sector, Bârlad - 404 kW rooftop system, achieving an energy independence rate of 63% and annual savings of 39%

    - Simba, HoReCa company, Vaslui - 127 kW rooftop system, achieving an energy independence rate of 39% and annual savings of 37%

    - Trans-Gigel, dairy and cheese producer, Iași - 120 kW rooftop system, achieving an energy independence rate of 42% and annual savings of 23%

The 189 kW Sudometal project, which also includes a carport structure, enabling an energy independence rate of 33% and annual savings of 17%, will become operational shortly after the remaining technical steps are completed.

Under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), beneficiaries access clean energy generated by solar installations without any investment, paying for the energy consumed at competitive and stable prices for the duration of the contracts, which range from 5 to 15 years. At the end of the contract, ownership of the system is transferred to the customer at zero cost, with an installation with a remaining useful life of up to 25 years representing significant additional value beyond the contract period.

„Since entering the Romanian market, our goal has been to offer customized solutions to companies in the C&I - Commercial and Industrial segment, from various industries and regions, who want to lower their energy costs and carbon footprint. The completion of these projects in the Moldova region, together with more than 100 contracts signed in 2025, reflects the growing interest of the business environment for renewable energy solutions with clear economic benefits, as well as our ability to respond to the specific needs and circumstances of each client, regardless of sector or region”, said Filipe Dias, Country Manager Greenvolt Next Romania.

Greenvolt Next, part of the Greenvolt Group, a global leader in 100% renewable energy, operates in the Distributed Generation segment in 12 European markets and Indonesia. With a signed capacity of over 1.1 GW, over 429 MW installed and a portfolio of over 3500 projects, the company manages a pan-European platform for B2B corporate and industrial clients.
