Financial Group Banca Transilvania enters the exchange-traded funds market by launching BT Index Romania ETF BET-TR, managed by BT Asset Management SAI, the leader in the asset management market in terms of assets under management and number of investors.
The ETF (Exchange Traded Fund) debuts on the regulated market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) on Thursday, a moment marked by the official opening of the trading session by representatives of the exchange and other institutions, as well as those from Banca Transilvania Financial Group.
The commercial name of the fund is BT Romania ETF, and the symbol under which it is traded on the stock exchange is BTBETRETF.
The ETF, listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, tracks the performance of the BET-TR (Bucharest Exchange Trading – Total Return), the BVB's benchmark index, which includes the most liquid companies listed on the BVB and, at the same time, integrates all relevant corporate events, such as dividend reinvestment, free share grants, and capital increases.
„Romania has courage, resources, and growing companies. BT Romania ETF is the story of a fund born from the confidence that the country's potential can be transformed into opportunity by those who see the direction and want to be part of it. It tracks the performance of the most representative companies listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, so their dynamics are reflected in its performance. Therefore, as companies grow, the fund grows too. It is an ETF for Romania, for those who believe in Romanians.” a, declared Ömer Tetik, CEO, Banca Transilvania.
Liquidity for BT Romania ETF fund units is provided by BT Capital Partners, which acts as a Liquidity Provider (Market Maker) and Authorized Participant. BT Capital Partners is the largest intermediary on the Romanian capital market in terms of trading volumes for stocks and bonds listed on the BVB.
The fund is open to all who choose to invest, with no limitations related to the investor's profile. The management strategy is passive, and low costs and dividend reinvestment contribute to the ETF's efficiency. The fund benefits from dividend tax exemption, a tax advantage that supports the total return. 0.083%per month is the management fee, applied to the average net assets of the fund, and 0.25% is the trading fee, applied upon sale/purchase. To invest in BT Romania ETF, the following are required: available funds, a trading account (opened at BT Capital Partners or any other participant in the BVB trading system), the BT Pay application (accessed from the Investments/BT Romania ETF menu), and, for the most responsible investments, relevant information about the fund, the market, and the stock exchange.
