Carrefour has entered into exclusive negotiations with Pav\u0103l Holding for the transfer of its Romanian operations, based on a valuation of the company of around \u20ac823 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Completion of the transaction is subject to obtaining the necessary approvals from the competent authorities and is expected in the second half of 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to a statement from the French company, the transaction is part of the strategic review process initiated by the Group in early 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although Pav\u0103l Holding has expanded its presence outside the country in recent years, with investments in sectors such as hospitality and DIY retail (Praktiker Hellas), Romania remains the group's main growth market.
