Hidroelectrica draws the public's attention to the appearance online of advertisements and platforms that misuse the company's name, visual identity or image to promote alleged investment opportunities, such as the platform called „Hidroelectrica Edge”, warns the company.

Hidroelectrica emphasizes that these platforms do not belong to the company and have nothing to do with its activity or offers. Such initiatives represent attempts of online fraud where users are encouraged to transfer money or provide personal and banking data, lured by promises of quick or guaranteed earnings.

Hidroelectrica does not solicit investments through online platforms promoted on social networks, through sponsored advertisements or through telephone messages. The company also does not request the transmission of personal or banking data through such channels.

The company's only official website is www.hidroelectrica.ro, and all official information about the company's activities, projects or public communications are published exclusively on Hidroelectrica's website and official communication channels.

We advise the public to be wary of investment offers promoted online that make unauthorized use of Hidroelectrica's name or that of other well-known companies and promise large, quick and guaranteed gains. Such schemes can include misleading advertisements, manipulated videos or the use of the image of public company executives to create the appearance of legitimacy.

Hidroelectrica encourages users who encounter such content to report them on the platforms where they appear and to avoid accessing or entering personal data on suspicious sites.

The company is cooperating with the competent authorities to limit the impact of these fraud attempts and to protect the public against unauthorized use of its name and image.
