President Nicușor Dan said that in the next two months there will be an Urban Code for the Capital.
”We will have an Urban Planning Code in February-March, in my estimation, in Parliament, and here it seems that we are heading towards centralization at the Bucharest City Hall (...) In the National Budget Law there is an article (...) related to Bucharest and I expect it to say that a certain percentage of the income tax collected from Bucharest residents goes to the Bucharest City Hall, and the Bucharest City Hall through the General Council will decide how to divide this money among the seven Bucharest City Halls”Dan said on Digi 24.

He detailed that income taxes are collected by the state from companies, while local taxes are collected by the sectoral town halls, writes the central press.
”The budget law only deals with those which are income tax and that is about 70-80% of the total amount. The others are regulated in the Tax Code and here is a broader discussion. Here, when it comes to income tax sharing, there is a simple article in the National Budget Lawl”, explained Nicușor Dan.
