Complex hydro-technical works for 12 critical points on the Danube
The project focuses on 12 identified hotspots along the joint Romanian-Bulgarian segment of the Danube and involves extensive dredging works on the river.
The works will include dredging 110 km of navigable channel, construction of 9 groynes and 4 chevrons, stabilization of 5.45 km of banks, and the construction of an artificial island.
The design phase is intensive, requiring extensive geologic and hydrographic documentation at all 12 critical points.
