PSD President Sorin Grindeanu said on Wednesday that all construction sites related to medical and transportation infrastructure must have funding secured in this year's budget, so that the pace of work allows, in particular, the completion of the objectives included in the NRRP.

Grindeanu had a meeting at the Parliament Palace with the PSD team in the Government, ministers and Deputy Prime Minister Marian Neacșu, where they discussed the state budget for 2026.

The economic recovery program must be adopted as quickly as possible, together with the reform of the administration, because procrastination is measured in thousands of lost jobs and closed companies! In addition to this program, I discussed today with the PSD team in Government the major investment projects in each area. They are priorities in the 2026 budget. All sites related to medical and transport infrastructure must have funding secured, so that the pace of work allows, in particular, the completion of the objectives included in the PNRR

wrote the PSD president on Facebook, according to Agerpres.

He added that the support programs for farmers, started several years ago by PSD ministers, should also be continued.

„The official NSI data show that they have already started to have a definite impact, namely a solid increase in output. In addition, colleagues from Energy and Labor are preparing a program of measures to protect the population most exposed to social risks - low-income pensioners, children with disabilities and those from families with severe material problems. We fully understand the budgetary constraints, but that does not mean we should leave the needy without help at a time when inflation remains high! Supporting the economy and social protection are not mutually exclusive principles, they complement each other. It is time to act today, so that every Romanian family and every Romanian company can have hope tomorrow”he concluded.
