The national currency appreciated on Friday against the euro, which was quoted by the National Bank of Romania (BNR) at 5.2364 lei, down 2.97 bani (-0.561%) from the previous rate of 5.2661 lei.
The value of the leu also rose against the dollar, with the U.S. currency trading at 4.4493 lei, down 2.34 bani (-0.521%) compared to Thursday, when it stood at 4.4727 lei.
The national currency also appreciated against the Swiss franc, which the National Bank of Romania (BNR) quoted at 5.7194 lei, down 3.24 bani (-0.561%) from the previous rate of 5.7518 lei, according to Agerpres.
The gold gram has become cheaper, dropping to 673.5117 lei from 680.6943 lei in the previous session.
