Sebeș City Hall buys 7 electric buses and 10 slow and fast charging stations, which will be used in the public transportation system in the municipality. The investment amounts to over 19.1 million lei.

On January 23, Sebeș City Hall launched a tender on the SEAP platform for the purchase of electric buses with related stations, ITS systems and e-ticketing, within the project „Development of sustainable mobility in Sebeș municipality”, writes Alba24.

The total estimated value of the investment is 19,177,768.9 lei, excluding VAT.

The project aims to purchase 7 new electric buses, with a length of 10 meters, which will be used in the public transport system within the territorial administrative unit of Sebeș municipality. The buses will be equipped with intelligent transportation systems (ITS) and e-ticketing.

In addition, 7 slow-charging stations with a minimum output of 60 kW and three fast-charging stations with a minimum output of 150 kW will be purchased.

Sebeș City Hall expects that the introduction of environmentally friendly public transport vehicles in the municipality will lead to a reduction in the environmental impact of transport activity through modal shift - the shift from personal car transport to public transport.

Serving passengers with electric buses will lead to increased mobility, support economic activities, provide a high degree of safety while protecting the environment
environment, with the ultimate goal of increasing the quality of life of all Sebeș inhabitants. The electric buses that will be purchased will help reduce CO2 emissions and noise pollution generated by public transport. It will also improve the comfort of public transport users, increasing the attractiveness of public transport

    as specified in the specifications.

We recall that the first 9 electric buses of the future fleet of the municipality's green transportation arrived in Sebeș last spring. Together with them, 12 charging stations were purchased (9 slow charging and 3 fast charging stations).
