The National Road Investment Company submitted for validation to the National Agency for Public Procurement (ANAP) the documentation for the promotion of the tender for the Express Road that will connect the A0 Bucharest North highway to the future Terminal 2 of the Henri Coandă-Otopeni International Airport. The estimated value of the investment is over 400 million lei.
„This 2.5-kilometer connection will reduce to just two minutes a journey that, on the existing network, takes almost 20 minutes to cover a distance of 16-20 kilometers. The road connection will initially serve the communities in the Tunari area, but is imperative for the construction of Terminal 2 of Romania's most important airport. Last but not least, it will facilitate the transportation of cargo for the cargo area of Otopeni Airport”, said Gabriel Budescu, General Director of the National Road Investment Company.
The project also includes the road connection with County Road 200 B Tunari-A0-Balotești through a roundabout. The tender notice will be visible in the Electronic Public Procurement System after validation of the documentation.
