PPC Renewables Romania has increased its installed capacity to more than 1.5 GW, following the addition of about 200 MW in 2025 and will continue with its growth strategy to reach 2 GW of renewable generation capacity by the end of 2026, mainly through wind and photovoltaic farms, together with battery energy storage systems.

We are continuing our plan to expand our renewable energy portfolio with projects that can contribute to reducing Romania's generation capacity deficit and to system stability through predictable generation profile and the ability to store electricity in batteries. We will continue our projects, both in generation and in storage capacity, in order to reach a level of 2 GW of generation capacity in Romania by the end of this year

said Adrian Dugulan, Managing Director of PPC Renewables Romania.

The company's most recent addition is the Ciorani project, which consists of two photovoltaic parks with a total operational capacity of 85 MWp, as well as 27 MW in battery storage systems in the process of being authorized.

PPC Renewables Romania has several projects underway for new photovoltaic and wind capacity. For example, the first phase of the 140 MW Deleni wind farm in Vaslui county is nearing completion and the second phase will add another 85 MW. It will be the largest wind farm in the Moldavian region and will contribute to reducing the shortage of electricity capacity in northern Romania.
